Kenny turned professional in 1978 and is a three-time winner of the PGA Tour. He holds the record for the fewest number of putts in a 72-hole event (93). He also shares the record for nine holes with 8 putts and 18 holes with 18 putts.

Since winning his first tournament, the 1986 Honda Classic, Kenny is very well known for having one of the finest short games on the PGA Tour.
